LumiQ's tracker, the tool professionals use to log and prove their continuing education credits, had grown into four disconnected experiences.
For users whose licenses depend on accurate, audit-ready records, the inconsistencies and gaps weren't just confusing, they were a trust problem. To create a more confident tracker, we rebuilt it into one coherent system: full field parity, clear visibility into reporting periods and consistent export options across every version of the product.
the missing gaps
Different Experiences
Built independently over time, each regional version of the tracker (CAN, US & UK) surfaced different fields, filters and export options. Reporting-period context like a 3-year rolling cycle, mandatory ethics hours and other important details and capabilities weren't always available for users.

Designing for Parity, Trust and Delight
The goal was to bring every tracker up to the same standard, without expanding scope into new fields or merging the tracker into other parts of the product. We outlined 4 key improvements to make based on direct user-feedback and existing patterns.
We also drew a clear line between what belongs on the at-a-glance tracker table (kept intentionally light) versus the full downloadable report, so the page stays scannable while the exported record stays complete.

Making CPE Tracking Trustworthy
The result is a tracker experience that feels consistent whether you're a US CPE earner checking your provider breakdown or a Canadian CPA tracking a 3-year rolling ethics requirement. Every field entered is a field you can see, filter, and export, and the reporting-period math that used to live only in someone's head is now front and center and easy to access.

The Numbers Behind the Redesign
Bringing tracker parity didn't just make the product easier to use, it changed how much people trusted it enough to use.
Within the first 30 days
28%
increase
in logged external credits by users
Users now return to the LumiQ tracker as a regular tool, not a one-off check-in
13%
increase
in CSV/PDF exports
Users trust the tracker enough to use it as their actual compliance record, not just a reference
3.2%
reduction
in support tickets related to tracker discrepancies
Parity across fields reduced confusion and complaints
Once every field a user logged was a field they could see, filter, and export, the tracker stopped being a place to check hours and became the place people trusted to prove them.
